Definition of the Issue: Teenagers commonly use cell phones in everyday life. Should students be allowed to use cell phones in schools or not?

Pros:
  • Students can send missed assignments to students who miss school
  • Most phones are equiped with calculators which are good use in math class
  • If a person is slow at taking notes they can take a picture and write them down later
  • Students can take pictures of projects to show parents
  • If student's has MP3 capabilities students can listen to music during independent work time to relax

Cons:
  • Students could send test answers to eachother
  • Students could record teacher to try to get them in trouble
  • Arranging a drug deal
  • Planning a bomb threat
  • Setting up a fight
  • Having conversations with other students during class
  • Distraction to students
